What’s Included?

So what is an Editorial Shoot? (it's ok to ask!)

An Editorial or Styled Shoot is:

  • A collaborative photoshoot put together by Wedding Industry suppliers to create content for everyone involved.

  • The images can be used for your website, your portfolio and social media. It could also be submitted to a blog or magazine for a feature.

  • They are the best way to create content that can elevate your brand and build a portfolio that is higher level than the weddings you are currently shooting.

Let’s look inside the toolkit

We're bad at staying on track with tasks, especially in a busy wedding season - in fact we have so many unfinished projects that we've brushed under the table, it's a little embarrassing!

Because we believe so strongly in the power of Styled Shoots and Editorials for transforming your business we knew we wanted to make sure that people like us don't get overwhelmed with the planning process and end up never getting to see their ideas brought to life.

Everything in this course is designed to keep you on track and make the whole process as easy and achievable as possible.

The Toolkit included with this course includes:

✓ A PDF Course Workbook so you can plan at your own pace, with summaries of each lesson and example docs and emails that you can reference at any time.

✓ A Planning Checklist to give you clarity and keep you on track through every step of the planning process.

✓ A Canva Moodboard Template to help you build out your concept and see the big picture.

✓ A Pitch PDF that you can customise with your own images and text. You can attach this super chic document that suppliers will LOVE to your email when pitching your concept.

✓ Tried and tested email templates for recruiting your team, that help you outline the benefits for them and the necessary info they need to make a decision to come on board.

✓ The perfect email template to confidently contact model agencies like a pro and get access to incredible models for your shoot.

✓ An industry standard Call Sheet to take your shoot to a pro level and make sure it runs to plan.

✓ An easy to customise Schedule template, with real example schedules that we've used on our own shoots so you know what's achievable on the day.

✓ A printable Reference Doc for the shoot day that you can fill with your original inspo, to help you and your team stay on track with the vision.

✓ A life-saving inventory so you can keep track of all the dresses, accessories and anything else that's been loaned to you for your shoot and avoid that last minute panic when packing away.

The One Editorial Shoot That Changed Our Lives!

The best way to use Editorial or Styled Shoots is to help you target a specific kind of client that you want to start booking; a client who is willing to pay more for their wedding photography than who you are currently attracting.

In Editorials Made Easy we teach you how to develop a concept for your shoot that will ensure it pays off for your business. We also give you an inside peak at how we built our own Six Figure Wedding Photography Business by using Editorial Shoots to help us.

Spoiler, we owe almost all of our success to one simple editorial we did (and more specifically, that image you’re looking at right now!). A £400 investment in 2020 is responsible for over £300k of bookings in the last three years. It sounds ridiculous but it's true, almost every one of our luxury black tie weddings that we've captured can be traced back to this one shoot that hooked so many of our clients!

“I just wanted to reach out and say how much your course Editorials Made Easy helped me in planning my very first editorial shoot.

The whole process felt a bit scary at first, but your guidance and resources made it so much easier, so thank you for that!”

Meet Pearce 🇦🇺

Using Editorials Made Easy he's planned an editorial that will help him feel confident moving his business (and his life) to Sydney knowing he's now attracting the perfect city couples for his business.

One of the best ways to use Editorial Shoots is to start attracting and booking a new level of client that your portfolio simply isn't relevant for at the moment.

By using the tools provided and the lessons learnt in Editorials Made Easy, in just a couple of hours, Pearce was able to plan an editorial shoot that he knew would attract the clients he wanted to start booking in the city.

He went from knowing what he should probably do, to confidently taking ACTION in the duration of this short course.

FAQ’s

  • Quite simply, an Editorial or Styled Shoot is an organised photoshoot with the purpose of creating new content for everyone involved to use for their brands on their websites, social media, and their marketing materials. Generally, they are a collaboration between the suppliers or vendors involved, usually with everyone besides the models working for free in return for use of the images.

  • Literally any Wedding Photographer who feels like they would benefit from being able to create the RIGHT content for their brand. If you’ve never planned your own shoot before, this course and toolkit gives you everything you need to plan every stage of the process, get a team of other suppliers on board, get a model booked in and schedule and run the shoot effectively. If you’ve planned shoots in the past, but weren’t happy with the results, this course outlines the exact process we use that helps us create shoots that give us the EXACT content we need, and guarantees us that the money we invest on that shoot will pay off quickly.

  • You’re not alone! We might seem like we’ve got a handle on most things… but our first shoots felt really overwhelming, and at times we felt like giving up planning them. Quite simply, that’s why we created this course! This course is designed to help you actually get through the whole process with confidence, and come away from your shoot with incredible images AND amazing new relationships with other vendors who can start recommending you. The course walks you through EVERY step of the planning process, and inside the workbook you’ll find a useful planning checklist that will help keep you on track. It doesn’t matter if your shoot takes 6 days or 6 months to plan, this course will guide you through the process.

  • Yes and no. We’ve planned our own shoots from as little as £300, and at the other end of the spectrum we’ve planned shoots that have cost us over £2000. It’s completely up to you how much you spend on your shoot, and whether you choose to split the costs with the other vendors (which means you could be planning a shoot for as little as £100 or less) or pay for everything yourself. The one constant across ALL of the Editorial shoots we’ve planned, is that we’ve made that money back within the following months in new books as a direct result of the images we created and the relationships we formed. Plan the right shoot, and it could be the best investment you ever make. (For a little inspiration, the shoot we spent over £2k on helped us build relationships with a top designer, directly lead to £15k in campaign work over the following years, and a countless amount of wedding bookings. It was SCARY, but one of the best financial decisions we ever made for our business)

  • Every other business in the wedding industry needs images to market their brand, and we have the power to create them. We have a massive advantage of photographers and you wouldn’t believe how many people would LOVE to collaborate with you on a shoot, and be able to use your imagery to attract the clients they want to book. In the course we share our secrets for getting amazing teams of suppliers on board, and give you the materials and templates you need to actually reach out to those suppliers you want to work with. You’d be amazed who will be willing to help when you start reaching out!

  • This is something that so many wedding photographers worry about, and the truth is it’s not an issue at all as long as you present the images correctly. Every business puts on photo shoots to create marketing materials, and as wedding businesses we don’t need to be the exception. Styled shoots and Editorials can allow you to get more creative, and create work that is more aspirational than the weddings you’re currently booking. As long as you’re not trying to pass off your shoots as real weddings, it’s absolutely fine to use images from organised shoots through your website and your social media.

  • This is another really common situation, and a trap that so many wedding creatives fall in to. If you want to make sure your shoot provides you with images you can actually use, you need to first consider WHO you’re trying to book. Once you’re clear on your target clients you can plan a shoot that will appeal directly to them, and as a result the images you take on that day will effectively help you attract the right wedding clients to your brand. This is what makes planning your own Editorials so effective, because you can guarantee that the investment your making will pay off in the long run. We breakdown exactly how to make sure you’re planning a shoot that will work for your business inside the course!

Let's be honest; you know you should be charging more for your Wedding Photography packages, but you're worried about getting enough bookings if you increase your price...

Increasing your prices is easier than you think, you just need to have the right images on your website so higher paying clients can clearly see you're the perfect photographer for them.

One well-planned shoot can give you the images you need to completely transform the way your brand is perceived by clients and the wider industry.

Adding a couple of the right images to your homepage can literally make all the difference between your dream clients landing in your inbox or them simply leaving your site.
